    Hi Marc , are you still working with Electronics, I watched your tutorials and I found that your work is exceptional , now I guess the trade become more cheaper and the companies don't want to spend good money on quality tools and cannot expect quality work from technical personals too, feel like fast food right now, replacing boards are cheaper than rework them. have a nice day , greetings from Tharanga.

    • @MrMarcSiegel
      @MrMarcSiegel Рік тому

      Replacement swap boards may have several generations of one model. Soon companies run out of boards, so they must be repaired and restocked for future swap or buy used model device so you have a stash to service them. Save many boards and the 'expensive" pace gear will pay for itself. Smarts behind the tool is the most important. Thanks for your note,Best Marc.

    Useful info thanks the question is was the original video really show with or edited on what seems to be an analog device either a camcorder or vcr or did you add the retro effects in post? The head switching noise on the bottom looks too legit to be successfully faked so I tend to believe the work was indeed don on some tape base system which begs the question why would you stick to the tape workflow in 21st century?

      Great observation! BGA's is a different story. See paceworldwide site. Large BGAs systems are expensive. There are less expensive hot jet systems are ok but can re-flow ajacent solder joints during your operation. If you use this method make sure to flux a wide area beyond the component your'er working on. Thank You Marc

      @@MrMarcSiegel Hello Sir ! Hello, this is out of topic so excuse me, I just did read that in case we do not have some at hand, we can use "paper coffee filters" as a non woven fabrics - to clean screens, or parts to be glued dust free, or even to get rid of the flux without leaving small pieces of fiber. It may be probably OK, then I though that we have plenty of facial masks at hand those days, and they seem to me made out of non fiber material too. Did you heard of that ? Using them in place of the special fabrics for electronics cleaning ? Best regards ANd (!) BTW do you heard of using heat (or Heat plus a cold spray ) to straighten up damaged pjone or laptop cases or chassis (twisted, bowed, smashed) ? As it works somehow for cars body (plastic and metal BTW, having their "memory" ) I am about to try before installing a new screen on a cheap telephone xiaomi, that seems to get a bycicle passing on it ;) ever heard of such process to help straightening ? Thanks

    Excellent work. You do have a lot of patience for this type work. Very clear, concise explanations on every work piece. These techniques used for soldering smd are helpful and will be put to use . I am curious as what type of no clean flux is being used here. It looks to me it works well with Solder being used. I assume the solder is 8 ml in size and without resin core. Would there be a problem mixing the both. Again your a true professional and enjoyed you sharing this information. Canada.
